The routes from the Murray River will be from Echuca only in 2027.  The M2M Committee determined that we needed to reduce our costs in order to keep the Registration Fee at the current level due to the rising costs to conduct the event.  The number of teams starting in Mildura have been lower since the pandemic and they have not recovered.  Team Captains have been surveyed and the results indicated that only 1 team may not participate in 2027 if we ceased the Mildura route.

Thankyou for everyone who has participated in the 2026 M2M.

This year - Teams have raised $250,000 and we thank team captains, riders and supporters for all their efforts in organising their teams and raising funds for you Health related charity.

The weather conditions were excellent for both the Mildura and Echuca start locations.

The final 90-kilometre ride down from Hamilton was a delight again with low wind and  warm conditions.  The new start location – opposite HILAC proved successful and we are likely to use this again in 2027.

The BBQ in Stawell was required to move location this year (due to the State Fire Brigade Championships) and the new location in Cato Park was successful we will be recommending to use this location again next year.

The Hawkesdale Morning Team Stop was again a winner and the vibe of all the teams fuelling up and chatting with highlighted the enthusiasm and dedication of everyone. We wish to thank the Hawkesdale & District Community Emergency Response Team for providing the Tea, Coffee and loverly cakes, scones and slices.  Delightful!

The new location in Port Fairy Railway Park for the final presentation (Old Railway Goods Shed), was convenient and seamed to work well.

The M2M was again conducted under very safe conditions and the First Aid Officers were not called upon this year.  Credit to everyone who was riding and ensured we had a very safe event again.

We also wish the thank all the volunteers that have assisted us along the route to Port Fairy, and these include the Corner Marshalls, Motorcycle Marshalls, Hamilton and Port Fairy Volunteers.

2027 will mark the 40th Anniversary of the Woodys Murray to Moyne Cycle Relay.

We will be looking to mark this special year with some special events / activities to recognise this major achievement.  Stay Tuned.

Team Captains – Please ensure you book your accommodation in Echuca and surrounds.  Six more teams will be looking at Caravan Parks in and around Echuca and the M2M will occur in the middle of the school Holidays.
